Testconsult operates fully equipped construction materials testing laboratories at Warrington in the United Kingdom and Portlaoise in the Republic of Ireland. From these laboratories, we service roads contracts across the length and breadth of each country and operate satellite site laboratories.

Each laboratory operates a UKAS accredited cube testing and collection service throughout the region with collection vehicles running continuously. Our computer controlled logging system ensures that cubes are cured in the recommended conditions, crushed at the correct interval and reports are generated automatically. We hire out both 100mm and 150mm cube moulds at competitive rates and can make cubes on site if required.

Both laboratories are equipment with bituminous materials testing facilities to determine properties of road base materials. Systems are operated in purpose built fume extraction units to allow our technicians to work a safe environment.

We carry out chemical testing to check for contaminants both in soils and in concrete. Common tests on concrete include chloride ion, sulphate and cement content analysis.
