Testconsult offers a comprehensive range of site and laboratory tests to the civil engineering industry. We operate from our facilities in the UK, Ireland and overseas, through our network of agents or by sending teams directly.

Since 1974, Testconsult has been at the forefront of introducing new and innovative NDT techniques to the construction industry. Testconsult was the first company both in the UK and Ireland to provide UKAS accredited pile integrity testing. We have also pioneered new investigation techniques on post-tensioned bridges and introduced ground probing radar to this field of work.

From our beginnings with NDT of piled foundations, we have expanded our range of services to include geophysics, materials testing, structural investigations, environmental studies (noise & vibration), instrumentation and monitoring. We pride ourselves on providing innovative and cost effective solutions to our clients. One example is a recent award winning contract on the CTRL (Channel tunnel rail link) near London, which involved designing a system to simultaneously monitor displacement of a bridge structure and controlling rams to compensate for any movement that occured.

We have particular expertise with live load testing on structures, including car park edge barriers, lift shaft beams and floor slabs. We realise that every job is different and have the equipment to suit most situations.
