Testconsult Pile Testing Department has just added a new self propelled one tonne drop weight rig to it’s range of dynamic testing systems.
The Simbat MidiRig is a track mounted, trailer carried system capable of testing piles up to 600mm diameter and up to a 1500KN test load.
We are now able to carry out dynamic pile testing without the need of expensive free-fall cranes, transportation of drop weights or tying up client's piling plant. We are totally self contained.
The Simbat Midirig system includes all the required safety features, including guide/guard cage, stabiliser legs, remote operation and safety cut outs. All operations are hydraulically controlled to provide precision and the necessary power. The mast is hydraulically lowered for transport and accessing low headroom buildings. In addition track width can be reduced for passing through doorways.
If testing is required in basements, the Midirig is fitted with purpose built and certified lifting beams for lowering the whole system into place by crane. The total weight of Midirig system and trailer is less than 3500Kg so can be conventionally towed if a Tacho is fitted. The adjustable drop height of up to 2.5m enables dynamic test loads of up to 1500KN to be achieved.
