Testconsult has introduced a new service - Water Tightness Testing!
Testconsult are now able to carry out Curtain walling – Watertightness Site test to BS EN 13051:2001. We have been carrying out testing to cladding and roofing systems as a result of costly failures after construction phase has was completed.
The test simulates a heavy fine drizzle in order to thoroughly check the cladding and roof line for watertightness and leaks. Testconsult have been carrying out this test on new build residential units, where leaks found after occupation can be extremely costly and unpopular with residents. Tests are often witnessed by the architect, a representative of the NHBC, the main contractor and insurers.
All equipment is in accordance with the requirements of the British Standard BS EN 13051:2001, including adjustable pressure to produce a calibrated flow rate per linear metre.
