Testconsult Equipment has just supplied both pile integrity testing equipment and technical training to Bechtel ENKA JV Albania, who are working on the Albanian Motorway Project and are currently constructing a 57-Kilometer (35mile) stretch of four lane motorway including a 6-kilometer (3.7-mile) tunnel, through rugged alpine valleys between Tirana and Kosova.

A team of JV engineerswere trained in September by Testconsult Engineer Huw Williams on how to use the equipment correctly and to recognise any problems that may occur with foundations on the contract.

Testconsult is dedicated to ensuring that contractors and consultants who purchase equipment are able to use it correctly and understand the theory of the test method. This is the second major cntract in the region that Testconsult has worked on with Bechtel, who appreciate the close technical support provided in the field, despite the remote locations.
