Turkish Piling Contractor Sonar Sondaj and Testconsult Ltd have been working together for over 5 years.  One of their recent projects is large diameter bored piles for the new Ankara – Istanbul high speed rail link.

Dick Stain, Testconsult director, has recently spent time with Sonar Sondaj's chief engineer, Ertugal ERSAN, helping on the quality assessment of these foundations and providing updating training on Pile Integrity testing equipment and software.

Testconsult is now working actively with the geotechnical community in Turkey . Huw Williams was also in Turkey in April, providing a training course on sonic logging, at the Istanbul offices of Gruptekno Sti Limited, our equipment distributor in Turkey .
