Testconsult Limited have been working with Danish contractor E. Pihl, to carry out foundation assessment of existing jetty piles on a large contract in Zanzibar, using the Simbat dynamic testing method.

Testconsult limited has supplied both static and dynamic load testing systems for the contract, in addition to technical support and training, to provide an economical solution in difficult access conditions.

Dynamic testing is being used now on a number of contracts to assess the capability of existing foundations, rather than simply installing replacement foundations. For further information, please contact Simon French
